The Center for Social Inclusion conducts research on the best strategies to talk about race in order to move racially equitable policies. They also train grassroots organizations, national advocacy organizations, and government agencies on how to talk about race effectively.
SVP’s Environmental Collective Action Team awarded CSI a $45,000 grant in 2015 in support of a pilot project that would provide deep technical assistance for a cohort of 12 environmental organizations so they can more effectively address equity in their work. The EnviroCAT awarded CSI a second grant in 2017 of $20,000 to deepen their work with the cohort, as well as to initiate a second cohort of organizations.
