Larry Cohen serves as Managing Partner at bgC3, which is a private office established by Bill Gates in September 2008. bgC3 is actively exploring education technology solutions including the Big History Project, a blended learning course for ninth graders and Graphite, a tool to help teachers discover and implement learning technology in the classroom. The bgC3 team also produces The Gates Notes and manages Gates’ broader advocacy efforts.
Prior to bgC3, Cohen served as Microsoft’s Corporate Vice President of Marketing where he was responsible for Microsoft’s global communications planning and execution, executive communications and employee communications. Prior to Microsoft, Cohen served as a product unit manager in Apple’s software division focused on productivity applications and on HyperCard. Cohen also worked as a product manager at Collabra Software which was acquired by Netscape.
Cohen serves on the board of Khan Academy, a not-for-profit organization with a mission to provide free world-class education to anyone, anywhere.
