2014 SVP Fast Pitch Semifinalists

On Thursday, Sept. 18, at Paccar Hall, University of Washington, 41 Fast Pitch quarterfinalists, pitched in front of a panel of judges. This is the most competitive Fast Pitch to date and 22 instead of 20 semifinalists were selected!

Cheeseburger! Cheeseburger! Pepsi? 2014 SVP Fast Pitch Volunteer Appreciation BBQ

On a super-warm summer day in mid-August an eager group of SVP Fast Pitch Core Team Members, Volunteers, Coaches, and Quarterfinalist Innovators gathered for the 2014 Volunteer Appreciation BBQ. Their objective: to meet and greet each other, enjoy some classic picnic fare, and above all feel appreciated. Those in attendance enjoyed truly stunning views of the Puget Sound from the terraced rose garden and were wowed by the particularly large Koi fish in the pond at the Upper Queen Anne villa of SVP Fast Pitch Volunteer and Coach Andrew Conru.

Fast Pitch application screeners determine Quarterfinalists

On Tuesday, July 15 at the Impact HUB in Seattle, an enthusiastic group of several dozen application screeners for the 2014 SVP Fast Pitch Program gathered to discuss the strengths and merits of the 101 applications received in the categories of For-Profit, Established Nonprofit, and Startup Nonprofit. Their mission: to discern the Quarterfinalists for the 2014 Program.

2014 SVP Fast Pitch Quarterfinalists

We’d like to congratulate all of the teams that were selected to advance to the Fast Pitch Quarterfinals! We had a terrific pool of 101 applicants (a 20% increase from last year), and ultimately selected 17 for-profit companies, 14 established nonprofits, 9 young nonprofits, and 3 runner-ups as quarterfinalists. We will be featuring each of the teams as we lead up to the Quarterfinals on September 18th, but in the meantime here is a quick introduction!
