SVP Fast Pitch is a greatly impactful experience. It can also represent a significant time commitment for applicants and coaches during the program year, especially those that are a member of a small but mighty team. Please be sure to account for schedule requirements and make arrangements to ensure you can actively participate in the group sessions, 1:1 coaching sessions, dress rehearsal and attend the Final Showdown!
Expected time commitment is 30-35 hours minimum.
June 5th: Applications Open
June 12th: Application & Program Info Session – Webinar of content found HERE
June 18th: Volunteer Info Session – Webinar of content found HERE
July 1st: Applications Close
July 2nd-August 7th: Application Screening & Deliberations
- This time period includes a 2nd round of screening for select participants, where additional follow up may be necessary
August 8th: 20 Semifinalists chosen (must confirm participation by 8/10)
August 17th: Coach assignments made
Location: All sessions will be hosted at the Impact HUB Seattle
Timing: All program sessions will take place Monday evenings, 4-8pm (dinner provided)
Attendees: Group sessions will include all innovators and coaches unless otherwise indicated
Dates & Focus:
August 20th*: Program Orientation, Presentation Workshop & Coach Introduction
September 17th*: Group Session 1 – learning curriculum (tbd) and practice clinic
October 1st*: Group Session 2 – learning curriculum (tbd) and practice clinic
October 15th*: Group Session 3 (Semifinals) – learning curriculum, judged pitch session
-Innovators, Coaches and invited guests attend
-Up to 10 finalists selected to present at Final Showdown, Finalists notified October 16th
October 29th*: Finalist Dress Rehearsal (up to 10 organizations)
- 7:30-9pm, University of WA, Kane Hall 130
November 10th*: Final Showdown Event (all organizations)
- 3:30-8:30pm, University of WA, Kane Hall 130 – Reception to follow
- Semifinalists & Finalists have booth representation at Innovator Expo
- Exact arrival time and stage program to be confirmed
*Dates require innovator attendance; Coaches expected to attend each session, can arrive at 5pm if needed after curriculum learning.
Off weeks will include 1:1 mentorship with assigned coaches
If you have a known conflict with any of the above dates, please contact SVP staff to discuss prior to applying for the program. Absences will be taken into consideration when selecting finalists.
