SVPSA Grant Process
Social Venture Partners San Antonio (SVPSA) was created to strengthen nonprofits through grants and consultation that builds stronger, sustainable organizations and inspires individual involvement in philanthropy. The Social Venture Partners’ model is different from other funding organizations: We do not just write a check to nonprofits and ask to hear from them in a year. We are active Partner/donors working collectively as volunteers to impact our community. For SVPSA, giving means offering both funding and expert help to the nonprofits we support.
At the beginning of each year, SVPSA releases our Call for Letters of Interest. We review the letters and ask those who qualify to make out a full application. In May, we select finalists and the Partners hear presentations and make a site visit. We begin work with that year’s investees during the summer.
