Robin Minick is an experienced senior executive with extensive legal, real estate and both profit and non-profit Board credentials. A central theme in her business experiences is her ability to move in at the ground floor, identify issues and leverage points, cohesively rally the team to her vision of success, and implement the way forward. She prides herself in her ability to expand her influence to business and Board work, expanding her contributions well beyond the legal sector. She has also gained experience working with private equity investors.
Presently, Robin is Of Counsel with the law firm of Wright Connatser PLLC in Dallas, Texas. Most recently she served as Vice President and Foundation Director of The Real Estate Council Foundation, a highly successful public and private partnership model that combines the pro-bono professional services of members with philanthropic money to achieve broad systemic change. Their associated social venture capital model provides low-cost capital for community organizations to develop, rehabilitate, and purchase real estate to support their missions.
Robin’s extensive twenty-year legal background includes Senior Vice President and General Counsel of NYSE listed Walden Residential Properties (NYSE: WDN), with equity interest in 40,000 apartment units, spanning 9 states.
Robin began her legal career in the United States Bankruptcy Court, in Dallas, and subsequently joined several prominent Dallas law practices. She was recruited to the role of Senior Vice-President and In-House Counsel at Walden Residential Properties, and later, WMC Management Company, LLC, and finally, Olympus Real Estate Partners, LLC. Her experiences and leadership contributions in these firms included business strategies and plans, exit strategies, financing and sale of $2 billion in assets, and SEC filings. Here, she also gained experience working with governments at the municipality and county levels.
Robin earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Harding University, in Searcy, Arkansas, and later completed Juris Doctor studies at Pepperdine University School of Law.
Her Board experiences include Chair of the SVP Dallas Board of Directors, Board of Directors, Café Momentum (a Dallas-based restaurant and training facility for the purpose of transforming young lives by equipping them with marketable business skills), the Advisory Board of The Ground Floor of the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, and The Anita N. Martinez Ballet Folklorico Inc., also of Dallas, where she also served as President. Robin is passionate about arts & culture, children, education, and skills-based volunteer work.
