What do you value about Social Venture Partners?
I value the community that I am a part of, and the collaborative spirit each partner brings as we strive to get children ready for kindergarten. Every partner brings unique gifts and skills and I am always learning something new, whether that’s about our approach to helping non-profits, about their particular subject matter area, or about our partner investees. SVPP is truly a community and one that’s making everyone’s life better.
What has inspired you to be an engaged philanthropist?
I am committed to giving back to the community where I live and to help our investees be at their best so they can better serve their audiences and participants. I’Ve been blessed with opportunities to learn and grow throughout my life from teachers, guides and mentors who helped me find my way along my own journey. Giving back to the community through resources or skills and talent is the best way I know to honor those who helped me.
