Do More with Your Money: Financial Planning & Philanthropy Workshop
December 5 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Do you want to make the most “good” with your money? Sometimes you can make 1+1 = more than just 2, especially when it comes to giving.
Join our workshop to learn how to leverage your financial resources to give back to the community through financial planning. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided.
Effective philanthropic practice neither begins nor ends with writing a check; it requires financial planning and careful selection of the right giving vehicle to achieve your philanthropic goals. Donors can have more impact with early planning and proactive giving.
This course is best taken by participants who are new to wealth planning and are interested in executing engaged philanthropy. This workshop is co-facilitated by Andrew Becvar, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional with Systems Financial, and our SVP Partner, Navgeet King Zed!
Workshop participants will explore:
- Financial planning resources
- The types of giving available and advantages and disadvantages of each
- Giving strategies that complement financial planning
- Different scenarios that benefit from different types of philanthropic giving
*This event is free for SVP Partners and Encore Fellows. If you are not a Partner or Encore Fellow, we ask that you pay a nominal ticket price of $20 for this workshop.
