October 3, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Part of our “Leveraging Your Philanthropic Impact” Series
Join us for a free workshop to the conversation about how to build giving into a financial plan! This workshop is open to the community, please invite your friends and colleagues.
Effective philanthropic practice neither begins nor ends with writing a check; it requires financial planning and prudent selection of the right giving vehicle to achieve your philanthropic goals. While it is fine to respond in the moment to requests for donations, donors can have more impact with early planning and proactive giving.
This course is best taken by participants who are new to wealth planning and are interested in executing engaged philanthropy. It is co-facilitated by a Financial Advisor from SyFi, as well as an SVP Partner!
By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Explain how engaged philanthropy complements check writing
- Explore the types of giving available and advantages and disadvantages of each
- Consider personal decisions in giving
Are you looking for greater impact with your philanthropy? Join us in our workshop series (“Leveraging Your Philanthropic Impact”) to identify your values and design a personal giving plan, explore different methods of financial giving, and learn about venture philanthropy and capacity building to leverage more than just your financial resources to give back to the community.
Check out our other workshops in the series below:
- Personal Giving Values (July 31)
