Fundraising Workshop: Grantwriting Basics and Strategies for Success

With a more competitive environment for seeking grants from government, foundations and corporations, how can your organization stand out and get the attention of key funders?
In this informative and interactive session on grantwriting and grantmaking, participants will develop effective strategies to secure the funding they are seeking. This workshop will take a look at the current funding environment and the impact it is having on your organizations and how to best position your grant requests in order to receive positive results.
Presenter Michael J. Henley, CFRE, brings extensive experience as a successful executive director, senior development staff member, nonprofit board member, consultant, instructor, and author. Michael’s 51-year career has included management and development experience with nonprofit organizations such as Ronald McDonald House of the Twin Cities, Little Brothers – Friends of the Elderly, Junior Achievement of the Upper Midwest, American Refugee Committee, Maricopa Tech Community College, Glendale Community Council, Carmen Pampa Fund, Catholic Eldercare, Peace Corps and VISTA. In addition, Michael has over 35 years of experience serving on a variety of nonprofit boards of directors.
