Aya recently transitioned from SVP staff to SVP Partner.
She spent over 4 years working for the Social Venture Partners Network Office, so when she joined the staff in May of 2013 she was already well-versed in the SVP model, an expert on our systems, skilled at planning and developing programs and events, and connected to many leaders across our growing SVP network.
Prior to joining SVP in Los Angeles, she was in Austin, Texas working for The Academy of Medicine, Engineering & Science of Texas in support of their programs and fundraising. She enjoys working for a local SVP with Partners and nonprofits to make a difference in her new home city.
A Pacific Northwest girl since birth, Aya grew up in Seattle and attended Reed College in Portland, OR where she wrote her senior thesis on the influence the elite classes in a society on philanthropic giving (she may even dust off an old copy for you – if you ask nicely). In her spare time, she enjoys baking, watching movies, and hanging out at the beach.
