SVP Announces Call for Letters of Interest

Posted by Camille

Social Venture Partners Connecticut is seeking to engage and invest in organizations that have an effective strategy and model that materially impacts the Opportunity Gap for families and individuals in Connecticut in the areas of education and workforce development.

Working alongside the leaders of organizations in these areas, SVP Connecticut seeks to help them scale their programs and organizational structure and reach more people in Connecticut.  This also includes supporting cross sector initiatives to provide employment or educational opportunities for disadvantaged families.

Organizations selected as Investees will be eligible for multi-year support, up to 3 years, that may include pro bono consulting and advisory services provided by our Partners, and financial grants of up to $25,000 per year.

SVP sees the Opportunity Gap as the most pressing social issue facing Connecticut.  By the term “Opportunity Gap” we mean that low income (and often minority) citizens face severe obstacles in securing a quality education and accessing pathways to rewarding careers. This gap imposes enormous costs on individuals, their families, communities, and Connecticut, as a whole.

Organizations that meet our investment criteria and eligibility parameters, which can be found here, are encouraged to submit a Letter of Interest.

All submissions must be made online by 5:00pm, Monday, October 16.
