Linda Springer is an adjunct instructor teaching leadership and management in the graduate nonprofit management program at the Mandel School of Case Western Reserve University. She also works with nonprofits facilitating board retreats and coaching on presentations, board governance, program design, and strategic planning and direction.
Linda served ten years as executive director of the Cleveland affiliate of Social Venture Partners, a global network of engaged donors who provide customized pro bono consulting to nonprofits. She initiated SVP’s bigBANG! event showcasing stories of innovative nonprofits.
Linda brought to SVP experience in creating and managing programs in alumni and donor relations at Case Western Reserve University and Lake Ridge Academy. Early careers include nursing and managing a gallery selling work by Ohio artisans.
Linda earned an MBA from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve and has taken graduate courses at Case’s Mandel Center for Nonprofit Management. She holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Mount Mercy College preceded by studies at Valparaiso University.
Linda serves on the board of Cleveland’s Magnolia Clubhouse, an organization that provides purpose and opportunity to men and women with mental illness, and she remains active in Social Venture Partners. She held several offices on the board of directors of Lake Ridge Academy, served on the advisory council of Young Nonprofit Professionals Network and the advisory board of the Business School of Cuyahoga County Community College, and was an ex officio member of the board of The Civic Commons.
