Thania Panopoulos is founder of The Perissos Group, a management consulting firm. Through her consulting work, she promotes innovation within organizations and guides teams and individuals to achieve the organizational results they are seeking. She has extensive experience in general management, marketing and operations. Her tenure with both entrepreneurial and multi-national firms has driven enterprise growth in the technology, retail and financial service sectors.
Most recently, Thania was managing director at Sandbox Industries, an innovative firm that creates, grows and invests in early-stage companies. While at Sandbox, Thania invested in early stage technology companies through the Sandbox Venture Fund, launched new businesses and was the turn-around CEO of a software company. Prior to joining Sandbox, she was director e-Commerce for the consumer lending division of HSBC and was the co-founder of Buzz Divine, an integrated marketing communications firm. Thania started her career with GE Consumer Finance.
Thania is the founder of Friends of Hogar Rafael Ayau, a social enterprise dedicated to providing a home, education and employment for abandoned children in Guatemala. Thania is a director for One Million Degrees, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting low income community college students. She is a founding advisor of Impact Engine, an accelerator for social entrepreneurs and a founder of the Chicago chapter of Social Venture Partners, a venture philanthropy fund.
Thania received her BA from Boston College and her MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
