Lindsay Read assumed the role of Executive Director with SVP Calgary in January 2016. She brought with her a wide range of expertise and leadership garnered from more than ten years experience working for both public and private organizations in Calgary. Prior to joining SVP Calgary, Lindsay worked at a public, oilfield services organization as their Manager, Human Resources. Lindsay spent five years working for a Calgary-based Executive Search firm where she specialized in recruiting senior leaders in finance, HR and operational roles across a wide variety of industries. She holds a Bachelor of Administrative and Commercial Studies from the University of Western Ontario.
Lindsay served on the Board for Generations of Hope Fertility Assistance Fund from 2012 to 2016. She was also on the organizing committee of the Images of Hope Gala from 2012 to 2014, including Chair for 2013 and 2014. As a youth, Lindsay was a nationally ranked badminton player, which took her across North America to compete.
As a born and raised Calgarian, Lindsay is passionate about our city and being part of an organization that is dedicated to building capacity within our nonprofit sector and playing a role in developing our city’s philanthropic leaders.
