SVP Boston and Wells Fargo Announce New Collaboration to Strengthen Local Nonprofit Community

Social Venture Partners Boston and Wells Fargo in New England are pleased to announce a new collaboration through Social Venture Partners Boston’s Corporate Partnership program. Wells Fargo joins other local companies such as Charles River Associates, Eaton Vance, and Fidelity Charitable in support of Social Venture Partners Boston’s work.

Social Venture Partners Boston carefully selects small and mid-sized nonprofits that have extraordinary impact and the potential to accomplish much more. Social Venture Partners Boston’s member network of highly skilled business professionals, known as Partners, invests greatly needed financial and human resources to help these organizations grow an average of 40 percent annually, which is four times the average nonprofit growth rate in Massachusetts. Social Venture Partners Boston’s Corporate Partnership program enables community-minded businesses to join in its efforts to strengthen our community’s most promising nonprofits and improve education and economic opportunities for children, youth, and families.

The three pillars of Wells Fargo’s Corporate Social Responsibility strategy focus on diversity & inclusion, economic empowerment and environmental sustainability. Through these three areas, the company is making significant commitments in home and small business lending, community investment, operational efficiency, and corporate philanthropy. In New England, the company focuses its charitable investments on job training, STEAM education and access to basic needs programs.

Together with Social Venture Partners Boston, Wells Fargo will leverage the skills and expertise of its most valuable asset – its high-performing employees – to strengthen the Boston community and help Social Venture Partners Boston’s portfolio of nonprofit organizations succeed. The work between Social Venture Partners Boston and Wells Fargo will provide Wells Fargo employees with access to high level, pro bono consulting projects and other opportunities for professional development and community engagement.

Since 2010, Social Venture Partners Boston has contributed more than $1.1 million dollars in grants and 11,000 hours of pro bono, executive-level consulting hours to local nonprofit organizations in Greater Boston.
