Introducing our newest Pitch program in our growing pitch family – Ed Pitch.

Why Ed Pitch?

SVP has always had a focus on education so Ed Pitch 2018 will allow us to share our time, talent and resources centered on this passion. It’s a new, hybrid approach in an effort to support the Expect More Arizona Progress Meter and #EducateAZ movement. We are proud to do our part to change the dire education ranking for Arizona (#43!).

What is Ed Pitch?

We’re taking the lessons and success from our Fast Pitch program and applying to the education world. Specifically college students. College students are at the forefront of discovering and generating solutions. While they aren’t far removed from the K-12 classroom, they are close to entering the workforce, and potentially, entrepreneurship. Which is why we want to challenge our Valley community to bring awareness and drive change for students by students.

There is an accelerated application and selection process to narrow the field to five finalist teams. The teams will go through a one-day boot camp, one-on-one mentoring sessions and mock presentations, in preparation for a showcase event on Tuesday, March 20, 2018. That night, in an intimate setting, students will compete for dollars. Our showcase event will serve as a kick-off to the #EducateAZ conference scheduled in the days following our Ed Pitch evening.
