With more than 20 partners and guests in attendance, SVPAZ’s 2018 Think-Tank-A-Thon, held at SVP’s offices on Tuesday, January 9, offered investees and grant recipients the opportunity to take advantage to SVPAZ’s partner network. Investees and grantees shared the following challenges they are looking to address:
- TigerMountain Foundation – finding a seasoned agri-scape expert who can partner with the organization in the near team to help scale administrative functions and define a sustainable longer term business plan
- S.H.I.F.T. – developing stronger partnerships in the auto sales or corporate vehicle fleet space through greater buy-in to S.H.I.F.T.’s philanthropic mission to move beyond a simple transactional relationship
- Nagi Foundation – seeking insights into the best way to commission and execute a needs assessment and feasibility study for a permanent location for an animal shelter and veterinary clinic in the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community
- Linda Abril Educational Academy – seeking to build relationships and connections in the community with potential mentors and tutors who can accommodate creative approaches for improving students’ access to guidance and continued learning
Each presentation was followed by several minutes of rousing discussion aimed at providing actionable advice, recommendations, or connections to additional resources to help each presenting organization take the next steps toward advancing their missions.
Over the course of the next week, Suzanne Durkin-Bighorn will compile notes from the evening and facilitate any follow up as needed. Thank you to all those who participated in making the evening a success!
